so, i was sitting around one day, relaying my latest Kristopher stories, when someone mentioned that i should write a book. i don't have the time to write a book at the moment but surely i can jot down a few paragraphs in a blog, right? so here i am with my new found blog called "raising Kristopher." now, i must start this by saying that by no means am i a parenting expert. i am probably going to write many things that aren't politically correct and will cause lots of people to pause and say, "that poor boy," but we have managed so far. i am just putting these things in writing because one day, i am sure Kristopher will be surprised to hear that he did any of this and, better yet, he will need to know how to react when his children do these very things.
who am i? well, i am Conswella 5'6 and the always proud albeit sometimes embarrassing mom of Kristopher. he is 14 (will be 15 in three weeks) and is in the 9th grade. Kristopher stands 6'2 inches tall (the heights are relevant for future musings), weighs about 130 dripping wet and wears a size 13 shoe at the moment. he's provided me with many tears, smiles, frustration and laughter over the years and has been the fodder for hundreds of office conversations. he is such a great son to have.
what's the purpose of this blog? it's just a place for me to share the adventures, the ups and downs, the ins and outs, and the joys and sorrows of single parenting as i see it and how i've handled it over the years. i've decided to call it "raising Kristopher" because as we southerners say, "all these children need these days is a good "raising."
please feel free to leave your comments but be nice: my son may read it :)
