sasha kitty was on a tear! she was digging into the furniture with a vengeance; pulling the cotton out of the newly re-upholstered armchairs; diving from one couch to the other; climbing the curtains (my beautiful silk pottery barn drapery!!); and jumping into the trash cans. her missed landings resulted in scratches on the new leather furniture and i was NOT having it! i did some research and found soft paws (also known as soft claws). i got them at the local petsmart and what a life saver!
getting the nails on sasha kitty was a task. kristopher held her around the body while i put the nail covers on. amidst the loud meowing and biting attempts, kristopher and i finally got 8 of the nail caps on her paws. after a little licking, sasha kitty settled down and got used to her new nails. as a matter of fact, she showed them off with pride:

ok, so maybe that isn't pride. maybe it was the fact that she was more than a little pissed.
anyway, after she was all tired out, i went ahead and placed the last two cap on her side claws. it was a feat but at least she won't scratch anything else for a little while.

soft paws - i highly recommend them. their tagline should be: "it's worth the fight".
